Finding Fractions at Home

In this presentation we look at halves, thirds, quarters, fifths and eighths as fractions in the real world.
As you work through the presentation there are some slides which ask for 'class discussion' to find fractions in the classroom. However, I would like you to have a look around the room you are in, your house, your backyard... and see if you can find examples of the fractions in the slide show. If you have a family member who is not busy, perhaps ask them to help you find some fractions too.
